The Worship Center, Raleigh, North Carolina

Worship Center Front
In the Chapel Hill suburbs of the capitol city Raleigh, NC, you’ll find the 18,000sq foot Worship Center sanctuary. Built in the last year (they’ve been open for 3 months) this place doesn’t even have an official sign anywhere on the exterior. But let me tell you, the angels play here.

The place was built by a fiery senior couple that have an incredible vision. They’ve owned the land here for over 20 years and it’s only been the last 4 years that the Lord began to speak about building a place of worship. What is so awesome is that the ‘ministry’ here isn’t entangled with any one group or church denomination. (Oh, and money is no object. I don’t think they spared one dime on a square inch of the place.) Which allows a vast amount of freedom, both in how they operate and the way they interact with the community.

Sean Feucht of Burn 24/7 invited us out to join him lead worship for a few days and connect with these folks. What a God connection for the region!

The Lord is insane. I hope to post a well-rounded blog in the near future regarding what we’re seeing in the Eastern North Carolina swirl or “phenomenon” as some call it. And it’s all connected! Derek Prince prophesied over eastern NC saying that “there will be a revival greater than the great Wales phenomenon” (the Welsh Revival took place in 1904-1905). It seems that me and my family keep running into this word. It was a prayer focus during the Freedom Tour and has continued to be a hot topic. On top of that, the Worship Center stands on ground that is in a direct result of a word Derek Prince gave the original owners 20+ years ago, now the time has come and the sound is arising.

Putting our money where our hearts are.

Here’s a post I wanted to highlight. It was written by a full-time IHOP-KC prayer missionary. I’ve heard Mike Bickle preach on this before but I really enjoyed Amanda’s perspective.

I am personally challenged by this message of giving out of my affection for the Lord and not out of my rightful-do or my overflow of abundance..(hehe) My cry before the Lord is God, make my free to give! When the rubber meets the road it’s always much better to surrender the goods because it really does let the heart soar.

I may not have carts full of gold and silver to dedicate, but the Lord has entrusted me with certain strengths and resources. Money, time, energy, effort, prayers, service, planning — David sunk all of that and more into the building of the Temple. To whatever measure of those things I have been given, I want to be radically, generously the same way. I want my heart to be fully invested in the work of the Lord, so that I keep looking for opportunities to sow into it with my strength.

The historic triangle-The Womb of America (Blaze manifesto)

I wanted to learn more about this place called the “historic triangle” that is the setting for this weekend’s Blaze Manifesto. It appears that this land took a significant role the birth of America (and some even call it the “womb of America”). With a little research I am struck by a few key tid-bits:

The Historic Triangle gave birth to the United States, and a huge nation grew from a tiny place in Virginia. In that same tiny place, Europeans, American Indians, and Africans first lived together and became the seed of the American people. Taken from www.historictriangle.com.

Take a read in that article! It’s incredible, not only was the nation literally birthed in these cities but the first governmental injustices started here. (Slavery, Displacement of American Indians, etc.)

Europeans, American Indians and Africans met each other here. It was not an equal meeting. Europeans enslaved Africans and killed and displaced Indians. Four hundred years later, we are still trying to deal with the results of all that began in the Historic Triangle. Taken from www.historictriangle.com.

God is serious about justice. He really wants to wash us from the inside out. His jealousy for the littlest part of our hearts is why these 3 cities matter. It’s why solemn assemblies matter, it’s why we pray and it’s why we fast.

“The Historic Triangle is located on the Virginia Peninsula of the United States and includes the colonial communities of Jamestown, Colonial Williamsburg, and Yorktown…” Taken from Wikipedia

  • Jamestown: The first permanent English settlement in the New World was established at Jamestown in 1607.
  • Williamsburg: In 1699, the capital of Virginia was moved from Jamestown to a location on high ground at Middle Plantation at the suggestion of students from the College of William and Mary, which had been established there in 1693. Middle Plantation was soon renamed Williamsburg, in honor of King William III, and it was a busy place until the American Revolution.
  • Yorktown: The third point of the triangle is Yorktown where General Cornwallis surrendered to George Washington in 1781, ending the American Revolution.

What if the Lord is carrying a battle plan to take the heart of America and call forth life from the barren womb of our nation?

Part of the vision for this particular assignment (Blaze Manifesto vision) is answering a cry, “‘we have been waiting for someone to release the sound in the historic triangle.‘”

What sound is this but the sound of the Sons and Daughters crying for mercy & justice? I believe the Lord is again firing the cannons of heaven into the heart of America through worship & intercession through His bride.
We’ve seen it in DC through The Call, Bound4Life, and many other gatherings, where the Lord is pouring out divine strategy to take the nation with righteousness.

As the Church of Christ we can’t let ourselves be pulled side to side by the strings of political rhetoric or the waves of media. We have to stand as best we know in the authority of Christ as sons and daughters, contending for the breakthrough in the heavens.
