Garden, Job, Pride…(?)

I had a morning a week or so ago that started like this:

Pride is a menace that hides in the deepest corners of my heart. Seeking a way out, poisoning my soul. It rarely raises it’s head but leaks unnoticeably into my blood stream conflicting my heart with my mind. The two are at odds and I am left with only tears and humility to awaken me from the trip of this blinding foe.

Actually, it turned into a lot of laughter and freedom. Everything made sense yet everything was undone.

The journey in Wilmington continues. My family and I continue to get stretched and positioned. My heart is alive for city and the Lord’s heart for the Bride.

Apart from meeting as a family and living “life”. I’ve been working on a few things,

  • Working on getting a job in the local area. I applied for a position at a little market near my house– a community owned Co-Op. We’ll see.
  • Establishing an online website to keep up with the Carrs and what we’re calling “together 2:22″ (Our ministry name for non-profit status) This site will give an idea of who we are and what we’ve been called to. It will also collect our personal fingerprints from our blogs, tweets, and facebook photos, etc….
  • Praying and dialoguing with Timothy & Sue over the heart of what we’re calling the “Wilmington Prayer Furnace”. Establishing a way to communicate the vision and spread the word to local pastors and worship-leaders.
  • Planning out a vegetable garden. Right now we’re starting small at 8′x10′ in our backyard to feed the many mouths MORE vegetables! I look forward to watching this grow…
