The last few weeks have been a steady pace up- up- up- at UNCW here in Wilmington. As you [should] know, I co-lead a prayer group/student organization called “Campus Wide Prayer”. (No, I’m not a student of UNCW but my heart is deeply attached to what the Lord is doing on campus and in the students!) We’ve been praying weekly since the beginning of the school year focusing on awaking in student’s hearts, encounters with Jesus, exalting the Kingdom in the face of humanism and that Isa. 61 justice would be established. When IHOP-KC first got touched back in November of last year, we began to experience an increased presence, breakthrough, hunger and movement across campus. A few months later, it seems like God is really putting the pedal down. Last week I attended a student led event called “Revival 2010″. Their sole purpose was to pray, worship and encourage as many believers on campus to press in and go for a deeper relationship with Jesus. Almost 400 students showed up. There is an increased momentum and fresh energy to pray, worship and fast.

I know this is not exclusive to Wilmington. Far from it! Campus America has called 2010 the year of prayer. Less than a week ago they organized the national Collegiate Day of Prayer where they called young believers across America’s college campuses to gather and pray for revival. You probably saw the letter Lou Engle (TheCall) released the other day on Boston and the 40-day university Daniel fast that started March 1st. Lou and the team from IHOPU believe we are at a critical juncture in our nation’s capitol. I agree!

I feel the excitement in the air and I am even more excited to fast, pray, and cry out for my city & campus. Campus Wide Prayer here at UNCW is hosting a day of prayer & worship called Wellspring. Our heart is to gather not only students but also the church body leaders from the city of Wilmington and exalt Jesus together. If you live in the region, come on out!

I want to encourage you to recognize how the Father is drawing His bride to unity, purity and maturity. Even if you don’t know it already, there are prayer gatherings taking place in your city right now that are shaping, changing and making way for God’s righteous rulership. He’s already agreed on who you are, His royal son or daughter, now agree with Him and see your life, your home, your city, your nation turn to the King’s dominion of life-abundant.

It’s been a good 24hrs! Our friends are a group of fiery Jesus lovers who travel as “Richest Of Fair Band”. They lay down some pretty intense worship licks. Check out a video or two. The conference is being held at Ignited Church. Yes, the same church that hosted the Lakeland Outpouring in 2008. It’s a really nice place, cutting edge in their media and presentation with truth in the pulpit. The church has some pretty interesting connections to most of the well known revivals that have taken place in the US over the last 100+ years. (Actually, you can get a free live video feed of the conference through tomorrow night on their website.)

I’m thankful that I get to have this small glimpse at what God is doing in this part of the East Coast. I’ll be here till Sunday before I head back to Wilmington Monday morning.

I’ll be leaving Knoxville tomorrow to make my way home by Saturday. This week shifted things into place and I know it’s time to head back to Wilmington and the family. Andrea will be staying in Knoxville for awhile longer while Jadon and I trek home. The last three weeks have cause incredible growth in both me and my brother & sister. I feel like my heart has been stretched in so many directions at once!

It’s mostly been in the way I see myself as a son and receiving a far deeper knowing of my own worth and value to the Father. Without the heart-level-understanding that He loves me because He loves me, I’ll spend all my future trying to make up that infinite discrepancy that cannot be bridged apart from the Father coming and touching me deep with belonging and proving His love for me– not with a mental understanding but a heart understanding. The IHOPU awakening meetings have been a huge blessing in the midst of all this.

Today also marks the last-day of the first half of production on Diamond, Stone, Fire & Gold. Although we’ve got a lot done, the album has a ways to go before it’s complete. We’ll schedule session-b sometime this spring to wrap up vocals, string parts, and guitar parts. The project release date is some time in the fall. To help keep interest up I’ve been working on a single “collection” that we’ll be releasing over the course of the next 6 months. This will help build a following and give an opportunity to get exclusive pre-release content.

It has been an incredible month of growth and adventure and I’m excited to be headed back to Wilmington!

The song goes through the earth like a river with healing! The full expression of the Bride is a representation of the Father’s heart, and of His Kingdom.

The “mechanical” creation of Andrea’s album, although important, is almost a side-note in my heart. The spiritual awaking that is happing in the Bride is what I’m being struck by. It’s not just this album or this particular style, it’s a generation of people being transformed at a heart level.

Go read Ezek. 47. This river is the river in Revelation, flowing from the throne of God transforming everything it touches! We are the trees on it’s banks (Psalm 1:3) and our leaves are for the healing of the nations (Rev 22:2). The fruit of our labors willl go into the earth and heal the broken hearted!

This is Isa. 61 Jesus justice released through the hands of you and me! The Kingdom of God realized in our midst and the song a healing river that runs through the earth!

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD, who spake unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul:

And he said, “I will love thee, O LORD, my strength.” – Psalm 18:1

Allegiance to Jesus with no tolerance for any other truth. This statement, “I will love thee”, is a declaration of allegiance. It’s a heart that’s been resolved, set and focused. It’s the poor heart that has found joy, not in it’s own weakness, but in His incredible strength. Through surrender this heart has found the superior (the invisible) more valuable than the inferior (the visible). Oh the Father’s heart for His Son. Oh the beauty of His Kingdom.

I’m faced with this incredible “cost”. It’s the cost of intimacy. The cost of loving Jesus on His terms. Yet when I taste of the superior pleasures of His presence (remember, the invisible Kingdom superior to the temporal visible) the cost becomes nothing. This goes way beyond an occupation or activity performed on this side of eternity, the cost is saying yes to the forever pleasure of knowing Him over the passing pleasure of my physical world.

I keep coming to a wall in all of this, “I can’t do this God. I’m done trying this on my own.” Jesus is the only Christian I know that can, well, be a Christian. Isn’t this how it’s supposed to be? On His terms my journey is full of joy, righteousness, holiness and justice. If it’s His life in me then I can say yes.

The Bridegroom declares over His Bride, “How fair is your love, My sister, my spouse! How much better than wine is your love, And the scent of your perfumes Than all spices!” – Song. 4:10 With the slightest turn of our eyes He is found “stolen; ravished; captured and held hostage“.
