Over the last year and a half I’ve had the privilege of working with Andrea Marie on her latest album Here Begin (due out December 10). I’ve watched this project be slowly etched, carved and shaped into what has become an incredible piece of art with inflections and beauty that is slowly discovered with time.

After starting one project in early 2010 and then to take a step back and completely start over with Here Begin, Andrea delivers a strong thirteen-track album that’s full of beautiful contrasts and contradictions.

This album has such complex depth to it that has become a piece that constantly demands closer inspection. The immense suspense, intrigue and emotion riddles me with melodies that seem to swirl around in an other-worldly dance, leaving only lovely contentment.

Here Begin is a melodic journey of soft and smooth, bold and strong; it is delicate and entirely provoking. With the drive of “Come On, Let’s Go“, to the cinematic stringed drama of “Here Begin” and the folk-lore love stories of “Boys And Girls” or the bluesy “Feeling“, you’ll find yourself playing this album over and over.

Once in a while an artist is able to express that something that’s not just of themselves and exclusive to their experience, but in someway, expresses something that’s in each one of us. I’ve had the delight of finding myself in some of these songs, and I think you’ll find a little bit of yourself in them too.

I felt the need to share these unnecessary but humorous videos. I enjoyed these growing up and now they offer a bit of familiar comedic relief. I’m not sure if they’ll have a similar effect on others. What are some of your childhood favorites?

Michael Ketterer is one of United Pursuit‘s priciple up and coming musicians. With a debut record in the works, Michael brings rich vocals to bear with dance, soul and pop nuances. I have been listening to early cuts of his record and I am excited to see this album hit the streets and expand United Pursuit’s current repertoire.

Here is a small collection of photographs from awhile back. In 2007 I spent time in Germany exploring some of the cities and spending time with acquaintances. These photos were later used by an interior designer out of Seattle.

Here are a few select pieces from my web design career– March 2010 to May 2011 I had the privilege of designing for clients such as New York Times, Scosche Industries, Chlorella USA, among others. Web design has been an outlet for creative to flow. I enjoy the process of creating a piece that’s going to not only be seen but also used. I focused on user experience and the user flow. I have included a few wireframe examples to show the process from concept to finish.
